Chris Jones

President

Chris Jones, founder of Southern Watershapes and a leader in the commercial pool construction industry, started in pool construction in 1994, building his first commercial swimming pool in 2000. Driven by his quest to take on larger projects, he founded Southern Watershapes in 2007.

His career highlights include working with high profile clients on projects such as the iconic Tiger Paw fountain for Clemson Football and providing structural concrete supporting a new waterslide park at Lanier Islands.

Licensed in six states, he partners with both Owners and General Contractors to build projects including multifamily apartments and competition pools for private swim clubs. In recent years, Southern Watershapes has assisted multiple high-rise condominiums with demolition and reconstruction of their elevated swimming pools.

Don Bailey

Senior Advisor

Spanning 40 years in the construction industry, Don’s skillset is unmatched due to the variety of roles he has taken on for the project teams he worked for. Working with Hardin Construction, Manhattan Construction, and Winter Construction,

Serving as a 3rd party owner’s representative for AutoNation, Don led the development of 87 collision centers and auctions across the country. Don constructed a 24,000 SF mechanical shop for Cox Automotive in Phoenix, AZ. This included several other projects, such as a new solar canopy, photo booth, and landscaping improvements to the existing perimeter per the city’s requirements.
